School Board

The Duluth Edison Charter Schools Board of Directors is responsible for the overall governance of the school. The School Board is the primary decision-making body on matters concerning the development and implementation of all school policies. The Board provides leadership for policy development and oversight, and it provides communication regarding the direction of the school. This is accomplished by adopting policies that the Head of Schools, staff, working groups, and volunteers carry out on a day-to-day basis. As of the 2025-2026 school year, the board consists of a nine-member board and follows a no-clear-majority makeup, meaning that no single group can hold the majority of seats at any one time.

The Board community site promotes open communication and transparency of the school governance process. As such, the Board community site allows anyone to review Board meeting agendas, workshop topics, supporting documents, and approved minutes.
